I would like to congratulate all the members who won yesterday in Sakia contest.. It is great when you find yourself knowing most of the winners because you all belong to the same group/s. It is worth noting that most of the winners won more than one prize at the same contest..

Khaled Sharkawi

Ahmed EL Koussy

Hany Zorkany

Sara Mostafa

Magdi Ali

I apologize if i missed anyone that i didn't recognize from the group

Great work everyone.

Everyday, before I sleep.......I promise myself that "tomorrow.. I will wake up a better person ........insh'Allah"

congratulations to everyone who won in sakia contest
but
i want to mention something
i thank god i didnt join this contest honestly, after i saw the wierd way the photos were presented. i never saw something like that. it is a shame. guys we cant sit quiet like that watching our arts wasted in that way. pictures were hanged and sticked in a way that shows the irresponsibility and no respect to our work, and imagine ever to see my work one day treated like that. no names were written on the boards, many photos were stuck very bad on the board and this is the photographer's fault here, a huuuuuuge crowd of pictures hanged very close to each other leading people watching to feel bored of the exhibition, specially that there was many unqalified pictures shown! i was shocked i saw some pictures with the camera date on! guys, photography is a very respectful kind of fine arts but till now it is not in egypt! so we have to show up as a huge community and complain about that to kodak.

Hi Sherif & all,

First I would like to congratulate all who won in the contest .. I really loved your work :)
So happy that Hany's White desert photo got a special prize (it was really so special)
Sarah I always adore your work even the one in the exhibition that didn't won..
Magdy Aly
Khaled El Sharkawy
Ahmed El Koussy
Ahmed Azmy
all your pictures are very impressive...

As a beginner I was so proud to have my photos hanged in the exhibition, although they wrote my name not so accurate (I prefer to use my last name not my middle name as i mentioned in the application), beside I made a big fault with couple of my friends which was using a light black cartoon (I didn't know where to find the solid one the rest of the guys used).. may be i thought they will treat the photos in a more respectable way..

But it was a good experience after all

What i really regret is that the duration of the exhibition was so small .. it didn't last except 3 days ..at least we could get some feedback on our photos..

One last remark .. i didn't understand the first prize in the funny section photo ( I guess the photographer called Cocaill and it was about a sleeping man in a park).. any one could explain?
Please don't judge me in a wrong way I even didn't participate in the funny section at all .. but i really loved the 4 other prize photos in this section more than the one took the first prize..

Have a nice day

Dear Doaa,
thank you alot for nice words, i'm with you in your openion about the Humor category pest price, i don't think it's funny at all, the photographer of it is Cocla she's a girl and she's a wonderful photographer, she won a price last year in Nature category, i still remember it till now cause it was a really special and wonderfull photo, so what i'm saying is that the photographer is really good but this photo (man in the park) is not the pest of him or of humor category.

about the jury, they are a very special group of wonderful photographers, with a special hestory of exhibitions and prices, locally and internationally, that's why i trust their final word alot, but you know art is tastes, may be if we asked them why? they'll convence you, cause for sure they know better.
