working abroad and/or females. They simply don't know what you will
have to go through in this country. I DO and probably you have a not
too bad idea of what lies ahead yourself if you go on down this road.

Dear Yasmeen I have a very strong urge to tell you "YEAH GO ON GIRL.
YOU CAN DO IT. DON'T LET ANYTHING PUT YOU DOWN" but are you sure you
want to go down a road with all or none situation?

If you do that you either end up a pioneer, an idol for women and
probably the whole neurosurgery community in Egypt or a destroyed
wreckage of a would have been brilliant doctor, just as I am the
wreckage of a would have been brilliant physicist. Yes I wanted to be
a physicist but physics doesn't put beans on the table in this country
and going abroad is expensive. So I chose the easy way out and became
achemist and currently employed in a very succesful petrolume co. but
I dream of physics all the time and I regret it every time I see
Hawking or Hiesinberg and those who went down the physics path are,
well not doing so well to say the least.

So in short my opinion is; Go on, BY GOD, I wish that you would go on
but just as you know the risk and the magnitude of trouble you need to
go through.

Mohamed.
